Man pleads guilty

to drug charges

HUNTINGTON - A Charleston man faces up to 25 years in federalprison after admitting to selling nearly 3.5 million contrabandcigarettes and oxycodone.

Basim Al Talouzi, 45, pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy totransport, receive, possess, purchase and sell contraband cigarettesand distribution of oxycodone before U.S. District Judge RobertChambers. Talouzi admitted to taking part in a conspiracy withothers to purchase and transport cigarettes to sell between July2010 and January.
