Mike Farrell doesn't fear the inroads VCRs and cable television are making on network programming. "It can only mean more jobs for actors and more films to produce," said the former B.J. Honneycutt of "M*A*S*H."
This statement, which seems to run counter to what most network executives and television obvservers are saying, seems very logical to Farrell.
"The networks are going to have to fill the time, even if cable starts producing shows," he said. "There's even talk about doing shows specifically for video cassette."
