Iraq studying new immigration law, Human Rights official says.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq is presently studying its enrolment for the UN Agreement of Immigrant Workers and Their Families, as well as a new law for immigration in Iraq, the Human Rights Ministry's Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Hussein al-Zuheiry said on Tuesday.

"Iraq has decided to implement its commitments in the field of human rights, through its enrolment in the UN Agreement, related to the Organized Crime and its two attached protocols, especially the Special Immigration Protocol and the draft-law for Fighting Human Traffiking, especially Women and Children," Zuheiry said in a statement, as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
